Cardano founder says Leios upgrade will bring XRPL-level performance

Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano (ADA), said in a recent interview that the blockchain will achieve performance comparable to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) once the Ouroboros Leios upgrade is implemented on the mainnet. According to The Crypto Basic, he claimed the technology could boost Cardano's transactions per second (TPS) by up to 60 times its current rate while maintaining decentralization and security. Hoskinson added that the introduction of Leios will enable Cardano to compete with other major blockchains in processing speed and scalability. Cardano plans to implement Leios on its mainnet this year. According to CoinMarketCap, ADA is currently trading at $0.1772, up 4.85%.
