Kabosu owner says meme coin CATE is unrelated

The owner of Kabosu, the Shiba Inu that inspired Dogecoin, said on X that there is no connection to the recently surging meme coin CATE. @kabosumama said a coin was issued without permission after a cat-related Instagram post was shared, adding that the only projects officially authorized to issue tokens were DOGE and COCORO. CATE, meanwhile, is a meme coin launched based on a video shared by Kabosu's owner featuring a kitten, and its market capitalization previously surged 230-fold.
