Yuga Labs VP urges users to revoke Blur NFT contract approvals

October 13, 2026, 12:12 AM
Yuga Labs blockchain VP Quit said on X users should immediately revoke NFT access approvals granted to Blur smart contracts. Quit said the recommendation comes as Blur plans to shut down front-end services for its official website on Nov. 12. Users therefore need to withdraw existing smart-contract approval permissions, according to the post. Quit added that no exploitable vulnerability has been identified in Blur’s smart contracts so far, but said the contracts’ upgradeable structure means the risk of malicious changes in the future cannot be ruled out. At least $10 million worth of NFT access permissions remain tied to Blur contracts, Quit said, adding that the safety of those assets could depend on the Blur operating team’s security management. CoinNess previously reported that Blur will suspend front-end operations for its official website starting Nov. 12.
