Citi to launch crypto custody service in 2026

Citi is aiming to launch a cryptocurrency custody service by 2026. In an interview with CNBC, Biswarup Chatterjee, Head of Global Partnerships and Innovation for Citi's Services division, said the bank is targeting a launch within the next few quarters. He added that the service has been in development for the past two to three years and will involve Citi directly holding native cryptocurrencies.
