Société Générale-Forge launches USD-pegged stablecoin USDCV

Société Générale-Forge, the crypto subsidiary of French banking giant Société Générale, has launched a new U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin, USD CoinVertible (USDCV), according to Cointelegraph. The stablecoin is issued on both the Ethereum and Solana blockchains, with BNY Mellon appointed as the asset custodian. This launch follows the firm’s 2023 debut of its euro-pegged counterpart, EUR CoinVertible (EURCV).
