Centralized decentralized finance (CeDeFi) protocol NEOPIN is gearing up to launch NEOPIN Bridge, a platform designed to bridge the Finschia network with Ethereum Virtual Machine-based (EVM) networks like Ethereum and Klaytn. According to an official announcement via Medium on Tuesday (KST), the service will be launched by the end of February.

Linking ecosystems

Ever since its establishment of an official partnership with the Finschia Foundation last month, NEOPIN has been developing Finschia’s first EVM-compatible bridge. The project is intended to facilitate the process of exchanging cryptocurrencies for users on the Finschia, Ethereum and Klaytn networks. This will enhance the development and liquidity of the Finschia and Klaytn ecosystems through the integration of Ethereum-based stablecoins.

Currently, NEOPIN’s DeFi protocols are accessible only through the NEOPIN Wallet. But with NEOPIN Bridge, user accessibility and convenience will be enhanced through provided support for various wallets like MetaMask, Kaikas, DOSI Vault and more. New services will also be implemented, including token swaps for users to transfer the converted Finschia tokens (FNSA) through the bridge.

NEOPIN is the only DeFi protocol that simultaneously supports both the Finschia and Klaytn mainnets, who recently announced a joint proposal for the Dragon DeFi Initiative – a project to build a DeFi ecosystem active on both the Finschia and Klaytn mainnets.

NEOPIN’s strengths

With a record of zero incidents including stake slashing since 2018, along with a 99.99999% block generation rate, the protocol touts a clean track record in node validation across multiple blockchains, emphasizing its dedication to trust and stability.

“NEOPIN is recognized for its robust security and reliability, serving as a role model for the Abu Dhabi DeFi regulatory framework. The launch of our self-developed NEOPIN Bridge is a significant stride towards encouraging the growth of the Finschia and Klaytn ecosystems,” said Ethan Kim, CEO of NEOPIN.

Rotonda launches crypto wallet service Burrito Wallet in Latin America

Rotonda launches crypto wallet service Burrito Wallet in Latin AmericaRotonda, a subsidiary of South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb and the operator of the digital wallet Burrito Wallet, announced on Tuesday (local time) that it has launched its services in the Latin American region, marking its entry into global markets.Photo by Leon Overweel on UnsplashLaunched in February, Burrito Wallet’s primary functions include convenient chat-based cryptocurrency transfers and crypto swapping. It is the largest multi-chain wallet in Korea that supports 11 mainnets, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as over 1,000 token currencies.Expanding region-specific servicesIn addition to these basic services, the Burrito Wallet’s available services in Latin America will include both on- and off-ramp functions for buying and selling crypto, which will be added by the end of this year. An on-ramp function facilitates users in acquiring crypto assets, whereas an off-ramp facilitates users in disposing of their crypto assets. Considering that many countries in the region recognize cryptocurrencies as fiat currencies, the company plans to expand its services to meet the market demand. Furthermore, the company aims to secure users by providing transfer services and various airdrop events.“The greatest advantage of Bithumb Burrito Wallet is the ability to use various functions such as cryptocurrency storage, management, transfers and swapping all in one platform,” explained Burrito Wallet’s Chief Financial Officer Chung Jae-kwon. Jeong recently visited Colombia last month to introduce the wallet service. “We believe that we can respond to the specific demands of the financial environment in Latin America through our user-friendly wallet service,” he added.Addressing economic challengesThe blockchain market in Latin America has been growing rapidly with rising demand for convenient and secure crypto services, driven by low accessibility to traditional finance and unstable economic conditions such as inflation.“As the global financial crisis worsens due to a lack of liquidity in banks, the need for financial instruments that can safely protect assets is increasing,” Chung said. “We anticipate a growing demand for our non-custodial wallet, which allows users to hold their own private wallet keys.”Earlier this month, Burrito Wallet signed a business agreement with the blockchain gaming platform Yooldo to expand their respective blockchain ecosystems and secure a global user base.

As part of its plan, Class A shares would be listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange using “BGIN” as the ticker symbol.Photo by Leslie Lopez Holder on Unsplash$50 million raiseIn a statement published on Renaissance Capital's website, the independent investment bank outlined that Bgin is seeking to raise $50 million in capital through the IPO.  It’s understood that funds raised by way of the IPO will be utilized to ramp up research and development efforts. The bookrunners, responsible for managing the IPO, are Chardan Capital Markets and The Benchmark Company. As yet, no information has been provided with regard to how Bgin will price its share offering. Renaissance described Bgin as a digital asset technology company “with proprietary cryptocurrency mining technologies and a strategic focus on alternative cryptocurrencies.”  The company, founded in 2019, focuses on the design, manufacture and distribution of mining equipment relative to Kaspa (KAS), Alephium (ALPH) and Radiant (RXD) blockchain networks. Bgin supplies 8nm and 12nm ASIC chips dedicated to these alternative blockchain networks, which all depend on the use of a proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism. Additionally, Bgin mines cryptocurrency itself while providing a hosting service for crypto mining, with facilities in the U.S. and Hong Kong. It hosts 4,020 mining rigs for customers, with 3,330 of these located within facilities in Iowa and Nebraska.  Across various subsidiaries Bgin manages 33,862 active mining rigs in the U.S. within its own mining operations. Providing full disclosure in the lead-up to its IPO, the firm warned that it continued to operate crypto mining facilities in China for a number of months in violation of that law. It identifies this item as a risk factor as potentially, the firm could be penalized and fined.
