Libra co-creator claimed ties to Argentine President’s inner circle

Hayden Davis, co-creator of Libra token and CEO of Kelsier Ventures, allegedly boasted in text messages about influencing Argentine President Javier Milei through payments to his sister, Karina Milei. Davis claimed in December that he could control Milei’s actions by sending money to Karina. The allegations emerge amid an anti-corruption probe into Milei’s promotion of Libra, which he endorsed in February before its price crashed 95%. Wallets linked to Davis and Kelsier Ventures reportedly profited over $100 million from the token’s launch. Opposition leaders are now considering impeachment proceedings, as the scandal impacts Argentina’s stock market and places Milei under political pressure. According to CoinDesk, neither Davis nor Karina Milei have responded to requests for comment.
