Financial advisors still hesitant in recommending Bitcoin, crypto

A year and a half after the launch of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), financial advisors are still hesitant to recommend crypto investments to their clients, CoinDesk reported. Most financial advisors are not recommending that their clients allocate Bitcoin (BTC) or cryptocurrencies to their portfolios, according to Gerry O’Shea, head of global market insights at crypto asset management firm Hashdex. O’Shea said that advisors are concerned about Bitcoin’s volatility, its massive energy consumption and its potential for criminal exploitation.
