Solana community votes on proposal to slash block finality time

The Solana community has begun voting on a proposal, SIMD-0326 (Alpenglow), to significantly reduce block finality time, Wu Blockchain reported. The measure aims to shorten the time from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds. The vote will run for approximately six days. With a current participation rate of 9.87%, the vast majority of participants have voted in favor of the proposal.
