HKMA identifies tokenization as key focus for fintech growth

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has identified tokenization as one of four key areas it will focus on to advance fintech development, Cointelegraph reported. Speaking at Hong Kong FinTech Week, the HKMA said it would concentrate on data, artificial intelligence, resilience, and tokenization. The authority also plans to launch its e-HKD stablecoin, which recently completed pilot testing.
