Ripple and Mastercard test XRP Ledger for credit card settlements

Ripple, Mastercard, WebBank, and Gemini are testing a system to settle credit card transactions on the XRP Ledger using the RLUSD stablecoin, CoinDesk reported. The news was revealed at the Ripple Swell 2025 event. The plan is to onboard RLUSD to the XRP Ledger within the next few months, pending regulatory approval.
