US launches inter-agency task force to combat 'pig butchering' crypto scams

The U.S. Department of Justice, FBI, and Secret Service have launched an inter-agency task force, The Scam Center Strike Force, to combat "pig butchering" cryptocurrency scams linked to Chinese criminal organizations. According to Decrypt, the DOJ will also announce the seizure of $80 million worth of cryptocurrency, which it plans to return to victims.
