Tony Volpon, a former director of the Central Bank of Brazil, has unveiled BRD, a new yield-sharing stablecoin pegged to the Brazilian real. The stablecoin is collateralized by Brazilian government bonds and provides exposure to the country's current 15% benchmark interest rate.
