Attorneys of Roman Sterlingov, founder of crypto mixer Bitcoin Fog, have recently protested against a 30-year prison sentence for Sterlingov, arguing that the sentence is "unwarranted," Cointelegraph reported. Sterlingov was linked to Bitcoin Fog but not liable for the firm's operations, the lawyers argued, adding that most of the evidence at trial was circumstantial. In March, Sterlingov was convicted in a U.S. court of engaging in money laundering and operating an unlicensed money transfer business.
