Pump.fun weighs plan to share revenue with PUMP token holders

Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.fun is exploring a plan to distribute protocol revenue to future holders of its upcoming token, according to The Block, citing two sources with knowledge of the matter. The platform is said to be targeting a $1 billion raise through an initial coin offering (ICO). Details remain uncertain regarding how much revenue would flow to the PUMP token under a proposed buyback-driven utility model or whether earnings from its decentralized exchange, PumpSwap, would be included. Having first teased the token launch in October, the team is also reportedly preparing for an airdrop.
