Metaplanet plans to raise $881M via new share issue to buy BTC

Metaplanet announced on X that it plans to raise $881 million to fund additional BTC purchases. The company intends to issue 555 million new shares targeted at overseas investors, specifically U.S. institutional investors. The issue price for the new shares is expected to be finalized in September. Metaplanet currently holds 18,991 BTC.
