Licensed cryptocurrency exchanges in Hong Kong will soon be permitted to share global order books with affiliated overseas platforms.
Speaking at Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025, Leung Fung-yee, CEO of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), said the plan will allow local investors to better utilize global liquidity. She described the measure as the first step in connecting the city's crypto market with global liquidity pools.
Leung added that the SFC is also considering additional measures to strengthen links between securities firms and global liquidity in the future.
