Brazil moves to allow pre-trial sale of seized cryptocurrencies

The Brazilian government has submitted a bill that would permit the sale of seized cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, before a trial verdict is reached, in an effort to dismantle the financial infrastructure of organized crime groups. According to CoinDesk, the proposed legislation treats cryptocurrencies the same as foreign currency and securities. The bill is currently under urgent review in the country's Congress.
