An Oklahoma man, Travis Ford, has been sentenced to five years in prison for a cryptocurrency investment scam that defrauded approximately 2,800 investors of $9.4 million. In addition to the prison term, Ford must forfeit over $1 million and pay more than $170,000 in restitution. He attracted the funds by falsely claiming to be a skilled trader who could generate high daily returns of 1-2%, equivalent to an annual return of about 547%.
