Exodus to acquire parent of crypto firms Baanx, Monavate for $175M

Cryptocurrency wallet Exodus has agreed to acquire W3C, the parent company of crypto card and payments firms Baanx and Monavate, for $175 million, CoinDesk reported. The acquisition will be funded with cash and a loan collateralized by Bitcoin. Upon completion, the deal will provide Exodus with the infrastructure to issue its own cards and expand services across the U.S. and Europe. The acquisition is expected to close in 2026.
