Donald Trump safe after apparent assassination attempt in Florida

The FBI on Sept. 15 announced it is investigating an apparent assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, according to The Hill. Trump is safe after a Secret Service agent fired at an armed individual during the incident. In a fundraising email responding to the incident, Trump said, "Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER! I will always love you for supporting me." This marks the second assassination attempt on Trump, following an earlier one at a Pennsylvania rally on July 13.
