Solana-based tokens account for over 87% of all new tokens

The Block reported that the proportion of new tokens issued based on Solana (SOL) is over 87% of all blockchains. As of September 30, a total of 110,180 tokens were issued across all tracked blockchains, of which 96,010 were Solana-based tokens. The network that issued the most tokens after Solana was Coinbase's layer-2 Base network. The Block explained that the surge in Solana-based token issuance is due to the growing popularity of meme coins and the launch of platforms such as Pump.Fun.
