Buterin predicts quantum computing will render EOAs obsolete

Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin shared on X that quantum computing will eventually break ECDSA, the elliptic curve digital signature algorithm that secures both Bitcoin and Ethereum. As a result, personal wallets (EOAs) will become obsolete in the long term.
