Bitcoin transaction activity hits 19-month low

June 08, 2025, 10:30 PM
The Bitcoin network has seen a noticeable drop in activity, with the seven-day moving average (7DMA) of transactions falling to a 19-month low, according to The Block. On June 6, the 7DMA reached 316,720—the lowest level since October 2023, when it declined to 269,000. In light of this slowdown, several Bitcoin Core developers issued a statement encouraging nodes to continue relaying low-fee and non-standard transactions, as long as miners are willing to include them.
