Aster revises tokenomics, postpones token unlocks to summer 2026

The team behind the decentralized perpetuals exchange Aster has confirmed modifications to its tokenomics, according to a report from Wu Blockchain. The ASTER token unlock, originally scheduled for this year, has been canceled and postponed to the summer of 2026, with some unlocks being further delayed until 2035. The report cites Chinese cryptocurrency columnist AB Kuai.Dong, who shared details of a conversation with the Aster team on X. The team explained that while the original tokenomics included a monthly unlock for its ecosystem allocation, these were not executed because a plan for the token's use has not yet been established.
