VanEck removes staking plan from BNB spot ETF filing

Asset manager VanEck has withdrawn its plan to stake tokens from its recent BNB spot ETF application filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Cointelegraph reported. In the filing, VanEck stated that it will not engage in BNB staking at the time of the ETF's listing and provides no guarantee that it will do so in the future. This approach contrasts with the company's recently launched Solana (SOL) ETF, which offers staking rewards. The report suggests VanEck's decision likely stems from the SEC's previous designation of BNB as a security.
