MultiversX introduces 2FA security feature for MetaMask

MultiversX (EGLD) has introduced MultiversX Snap for MetaMask, a two-factor authentication (2FA) feature designed to improve security for users in the MultiversX ecosystem, Cointelegraph reported. This 2FA feature, integrated into MultiversX's sharded protocol, aims to protect users from fund theft even if their secret phrase is compromised. The feature was successfully tested in public initiatives like EGLDHeist, where funds remained safe despite sharing the seed phrase. In June, MultiversX partnered with Cornell University to offer a blockchain education program for underserved college students, providing instruction and certification to advance blockchain knowledge and accessibility.
