March 12, 2025, 1:22 AM
U.S. President Donald Trump has defended his tariff strategy and hinted at further increases, according to Reuters. His comments came during a meeting with executives from leading U.S. firms on March 11. He said that tariffs will be "throwing off a lot of money" for the country and could potentially be raised even higher. On the same day, he downplayed any concerns about a possible recession, saying, "I don't see it at all." He also mentioned that "markets are going to go up and they're going to go down, but you know what? We have to rebuild our country."
