ENS to build Namechain using Taiko's rollup stack

The rollup stack from Ethereum Layer 2 project Taiko has been selected as the foundational technology for Ethereum Name Service's (ENS) upcoming Namechain. The Namechain will be deployed as a based rollup using Nethermind's Surge framework, which is built on Taiko. Following a period of internal testing, ENS plans to launch a public testnet for the Namechain in the second quarter of next year. Taiko has previously processed over 50 million mainnet transactions without interruption and has implemented a near-real-time preconfirmation system.
