Ethereum Foundation unveils proposals to ease node operation burden

December 18, 2025, 1:58 PM
The Ethereum Foundation has announced three technical proposals aimed at easing the burden on node operators from data accumulation, The Block reported. The proposals—State Expiry, State Archive, and Partial Statelessness—are designed to prevent centralization risks and maintain censorship resistance as the volume of account-related records on the network grows. The foundation also plans to resolve node bottlenecks through future technical support, including improvements to its RPC infrastructure.
