Penpie exposed to $27M exploit

Pendle-based DeFi protocol Penpie has been exposed to an exploit, according to CoinDesk. The attacker stole approximately $27 million worth of cryptocurrencies, including wstETH, sUSDe, agETH and rswETH. The hacker used LI.FI to convert the funds to ETH and transfer them to a new address. The Pendle project said that while it has confirmed a hacking issue within the Penpie protocol, investor funds are safe. The project has temporarily suspended all contracts as a precaution. According to CoinGecko data, Penpie token PNP has fallen approximately 40% since the exploit, while PENDLE has fallen approximately 8%.
