16 U.S. states considering BTC reserves, Utah leads legislative push

A growing number of U.S. states are introducing bills to establish strategic Bitcoin (BTC) reserves or allow crypto investments for public funds, according to Decrypt. 16 states are actively considering such legislation, with Utah leading the push after its Blockchain and Digital Innovation Amendments bill passed a key committee vote. New Mexico recently introduced the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Act (SB275), while Arizona advanced SB1025, permitting up to 10% of public funds to invest in crypto. Wyoming, Massachusetts, Texas and others are also exploring similar proposals, signaling a broader shift in state-level fiscal policy.
