American Bitcoin, a mining firm supported by the two sons of U.S. President Donald Trump, is targeting a Nasdaq listing in early September, Reuters reported. The company, founded by the president's second son Eric Trump and Bitcoin miner Hut8, plans to merge with mining firm Gryphon Digital.
It will begin trading under the ticker ABTC while retaining its current name. Following the merger, President Trump's sons and Hut8 will jointly own 98% of the company. The Financial Times (FT) previously reported that American Bitcoin was also considering the acquisition of a Bitcoin-related firm in Asia.
