Solana community passes proposal to shorten block confirmation time

The Solana community has passed governance proposal SIMD-0326 (Alpenglow) with 99.6% approval, Cointelegraph reported via its official X account. Once implemented, the proposal is expected to slash the Solana network's block confirmation time from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds.
