Software CFO convicted after losing embezzled $35M in crypto

A chief financial officer at a software company, Nevin Shetty, has been convicted of embezzling $35 million in company funds and transferring the money to his personal cryptocurrency platform. According to Decrypt, Shetty invested the embezzled funds in decentralized finance (DeFi) and lost the entire amount. He now faces a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.
