Altcoin Season Index holds steady at 17

CoinMarketCap's Altcoin Season Index is currently at 17, unchanged from yesterday. The index measures the performance of the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, excluding stablecoins and wrapped tokens, against Bitcoin. An altcoin season is declared when 75% of these top coins outperform Bitcoin over the preceding 90 days. Conversely, a period where Bitcoin outperforms the majority of altcoins is considered a Bitcoin season. A reading closer to 100 on the index signifies a stronger altcoin season.
