Aptos proposes adding quantum-resistant signature technology

Aptos is moving to introduce post-quantum signature technology to enhance its blockchain security, Cointelegraph reports. The initiative is detailed in Aptos Improvement Proposal (AIP) 137, which seeks to add support for these advanced signatures to user accounts. If the proposal passes a governance vote, it will implement SLH-DSA—a hash-based digital signature scheme adopted as the FIPS 205 standard—as an optional account signature type.
