Com2uS Platform celebrates X-PLANET's first anniversary with NFT airdrop

Web3 & Enterprise·March 22, 2024, 1:55 AM

Com2uS Platform, a subsidiary of South Korean game publisher Com2uS Holdings, yesterday revealed its plan for a non-fungible token (NFT) airdrop. This event is part of a celebration marking the one-year anniversary of its rebranded NFT marketplace, known as X-PLANET.

Popular intellectual properties

The NFT marketplace underwent a rebranding in March of last year, aiming to improve its integration with Com2uS' XPLA blockchain mainnet. Named X-PLANET, the platform is envisioned as a new planet where users can "explore" and "play." By November 2023, it had become the top revenue-generating local NFT marketplace, thanks in part to popular intellectual properties like the B.O.P Universe and Choushinsei Flashman. The B.O.P Universe draws inspiration from Bung O Pang Tycoon, a mobile game centered around baking pastries, while Choushinsei Flashman is a 1980s Japanese TV series known for its live-action superheroes.

NFT airdrop event

To mark the first anniversary of its rebranding, X-PLANET is hosting an NFT airdrop event on its official website. The event kicked off on March 21 and will have another round on April 4, at 6 p.m. KST, when 365 "Lucky Star" NFTs will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. Owners of NFTs bearing lucky numbers will have the chance to earn double points during a B.O.P Universe event, which continues until April 14.

Additional benefits are in store for those purchasing NFTs for the first time and those visiting X-PLANET’s Discord channel. Moreover, participants who spread the word about the anniversary event and the B.O.P Universe contest on social media will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a coffee coupon.

NFT marketplace and blockchain ecosystem

Lee Luda, the Head of the Web3 Platform Business Division at Com2uS Platform, highlighted that the recent event was designed to show gratitude to X-PLANET users who have shown their support since the platform's rebranding. Lee further stated that as the NFT marketplace representing the XPLA ecosystem, X-PLANET is committed to evolving into a user-friendly platform. Their goal is to create an environment that not only adds value but also provides entertainment, making it a welcoming space where anyone can participate and enjoy.

Recognized for its straightforward user interface and efficient trading system, X-PLANET has been introducing a collection of valuable NFT works across various domains, including art, games and K-pop. The NFT marketplace is actively pursuing collaborations with talented artists and prominent organizations to bring meaningful NFT content to its users.

South Korean Banks Adopt Blockchain for Streamlined Civil Servant Loans

South Korean Banks Adopt Blockchain for Streamlined Civil Servant LoansSouth Korea’s state-run financial organizations and banks are embracing blockchain technology to streamline the loan process for government employees and enhance loan management for banks.Photo by Shubham Dhage on UnsplashBlockchain-aided loan servicesIn a collaboration announced today at the Korea Federation of Banks (KFB) in Seoul, the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute (KFTC), the Government Employees Pension Service (GEPS), and four local banks are coming together to introduce blockchain technology in providing loan services specifically tailored for civil servants. The four participating banks are NongHyup Bank, Hana Bank, DGB Daegu Bank, and Gwangju Bank.Easier applicationAt present, civil servants are required to acquire a physical loan recommendation letter from the GEPS in order to apply for a bank loan. However, with the implementation of the new loan system, the GEPS will have the capability to issue blockchain-based letters, which can be obtained by civil servants either in-person or remotely at banks. This innovative approach will significantly simplify the verification process for these letters.Easier managementFurthermore, the manual exchange of loan-related information, such as repayment history and retirement details, between banks and the GEPS will be replaced by a more efficient system. The KFTC will take on the role of mediator, ensuring that any changes to this information are immediately reflected in real time. This streamlined approach will significantly enhance loan management for lenders. The launch of this service is scheduled for November this year, bringing about improved accessibility to loans for government employees. As the project progresses, other financial institutions are expected to join in, further enhancing the convenience of public servants. Additionally, these collaborating organizations will explore joint services aimed at providing the necessary support to stabilize the livelihoods of civil servants.

Uzbekistan’s New Private Bank Joins National Crypto Card Initiative

Uzbekistan’s New Private Bank Joins National Crypto Card InitiativeIn a step towards enhancing its cryptocurrency ecosystem, the Republic of Uzbekistan has given the green light to include another private bank in its ongoing national crypto card project. The development was announced through an official press release earlier this week by the National Agency of Perspective Projects (NAPP), the country’s regulatory authority for digital assets.Photo by engin akyurt on UnsplashBuilding upon a crypto frameworkUnder the provisions outlined by the Uzbekistan Ministry of Justice on December 30 of last year, the Special Regulatory Sandbox Regime was established. This unique framework empowers specific entities within Uzbekistan’s crypto sphere to provide specialized services. JSV Ravnaq Bank has now been registered as a member of this regime, enabling its active participation in the pilot phase of the nation’s crypto card project.Virtual bank cardThis initiative is poised to introduce a virtual bank card named “CRYPTO CARD — UzNEX.” The card’s standout feature is its ability to facilitate automatic fund addition to users’ primary accounts. This is achieved by swiftly converting crypto assets from a digital wallet on a partner crypto exchange platform.A vital aspect of the crypto card’s development lies in its compatibility testing with various financial systems, including the widely used Mastercard payment platform. According to NAPP’s statement, the participant bank within the special regulatory regime will be rigorously testing the integration of the automated banking system, crypto-exchange information system, bank processing center, and the MasterCard international payment system.December launchNotably, the addition of Ravnaq Bank marks the second entrant into the project, with Kapital Bank being the first participant approved in May. While Kapital Bank’s testing phase commenced at the end of June 2023, Ravnaq Bank is set to initiate its test launch by the end of October 2023. Both banks are expected to launch the full project by late December, in accordance with NAPP’s timeline.Beyond these private banks, the Special Regulatory Sandbox Regime also includes UZINFOCOM, a company authorized to develop NFT certificates based on distributed data registry technology.
