Ondo Finance CEO “24-hour trading on NYSE and Nasdaq would resolve liquidity issues”
2026.01.31 13:29
According to CoinDesk, Ian de Bode, CEO of Ondo Finance (ONDO), stated that "if the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq introduce 24-hour trading for tokenized stocks, the liquidity issues in the tokenized stock market could be resolved." He explained, "The cryptocurrency and DeFi markets operate 24 hours a day, but traditional financial markets are only open during weekdays. This causes the liquidity of tokenized stocks to thin out rapidly on weekends." He added, "This time difference makes hedging difficult for market makers," emphasizing that "if traditional finance transitions to a 24-hour trading system, it would be a 'godsend' for the industry."
