Core DAO approves expansion of validators for Core Chain

Core DAO, the driving force behind EVM-compatible layer-1 blockchain Core Chain, recently voted on a proposal for an initiative to expand the number of validators on Core Chain from 21 to 31 by the second quarter of 2025. According to off-chain voting platform snapshot, the voting concluded at 12:00 UTC on May 30, with 99.89% in favor. This gradual expansion over the next 12 months is designed to enhance decentralization and integrate infrastructure providers without affecting the staking rewards for CORE stakers, BTC stakers or miners.
