High-ranking figures such as U.S. Treasury Undersecretary Wally Adeyemo and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris' former chief of staff Kristine Lucius attended a cryptocurrency roundtable hosted by Democratic House of Representatives member Ro Khanna on August 8 between cryptocurrency industry leaders and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris' presidential campaign. According to CryptoSlate, industry leaders in attendance included crypto-friendly entrepreneur Mark Cuban and famous angel investor Ron Conway. Details of the meeting were not disclosed. The publication explained that the meeting was part of an effort to make Harris' campaign pro-crypto. They plan to hold an online town hall meeting next week, which will be attended by prominent industry figures such as SkyBridge Capital hedge fund founder Anthony Scaramucci and many Democratic lawmakers.
