Final code for Stacks Nakamoto upgrade to be delivered to network operators and activated on August 28

Stacks Foundation, the foundation behind the Bitcoin layer-2 project Stacks, announced via X that the network operator delivery and activation of the final code for the Stacks Nakamoto upgrade are scheduled for Aug. 28. In addition, sBTC will be ready for mainnet release as soon as four weeks in the wake of the Nakamoto hard fork.
