Restaking Ether: high reward, high risk

Mike Silagadze, CEO of ether.fi, at the Blockchain Futurist Conference on August 13, emphasized the potential and risks of restaking Ether, as Cointelegraph reported. Restaking, which involves using staked Ether to secure multiple protocols, can increase rewards but also raises the risk of smart contract failures and higher slashing penalties. Silagadze noted that while current yields are largely speculative, restaking could become a mainstream practice in the long term, albeit with inherent risks that need careful management.
