dYdX to enter prediction markets with perpetual futures

Decentralized exchange dYdX plans to launch perpetual futures in the prediction markets sector, allowing users to place leveraged bets on binary events, according to an interview with CoinDesk. dYdX Foundation CEO Charles d'Haussy emphasized the need for decentralized finance to differentiate itself from centralized platforms, viewing prediction markets as an opportunity for growth. The move is part of the upcoming dYdX Unlimited upgrade, which will introduce permissionless market listings and a liquidity pool called MegaVault.
