Debate over Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto resurfaces

Ahead of an HBO documentary, 10x Research has revisited theories on Bitcoin's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. The report highlights cryptographer Nick Szabo’s influence through his work on “Bit Gold” which shares similarities with Bitcoin. According to Cointelegraph, another theory points to the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA), citing its cryptography expertise and SHA-256 patent, used in Bitcoin’s mining algorithm. Despite extensive speculation, no definitive proof links Szabo, the NSA or any other entity to Bitcoin's creation. 10x Research suggests the real Nakamoto may need to step forward to settle the debate. Meanwhile, HBO's “Money Electric” documentary will air on Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. PT on HBO.
