U.S. prosecutors seek five years in prison for Bitfinex hacking mastermind

U.S. prosecutors have sought five years in prison for Ilya Lichtenstein in light of his mastermind role in the Bitfinex hacking case, Bloomberg reported. Lichtenstein is the husband of rapper Heather Morgan. Earlier, prosecutors had urged for an 18-month sentence for Morgan, who was accused of laundering $4.5 billion stolen from the Bitfinex hacking event. The couple are scheduled to be sentenced in November.
