U.S. SEC takes Ripple lawsuit to Court of Appeals, files pre-argument statement

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed its Civil Appeal Pre-Argument Statement (Form C) to the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit concerning its case against Ripple Labs, Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett reported on X.
According to this filing, they plan to seek appeal on several matters. These include Ripple’s programmatic sales of the XRP token on digital asset trading platforms, allegations that Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Executive Chairman Chris Larsen aided and abetted those sales, their personal offers and sales of XRP and Ripple’s distributions of XRP in exchange for consideration other than cash.Log in to leave comments!
