WonderFi CEO released after $1M ransom payment

Dean Skurka, CEO of Toronto-based WonderFi, was kidnapped in downtown Toronto and later released after paying a $1 million ransom, according to CBC, cited by The Block. Skurka confirmed he is safe and that WonderFi’s client funds and data were unaffected. The incident remains under police investigation.
