Tezos co-founder links Bitcoin's surge to U.S. regulatory clarity

November 13, 2024, 12:11 PM
Tezos co-founder Kathleen Breitman attributed Bitcoin's recent “parabolic” rise to increased regulatory certainty in major markets like the U.S., speaking at Web Summit, according to Decrypt. Breitman noted that reduced ambiguity in the regulatory landscape would make it easier to tie real-world assets to cryptocurrencies. She highlighted adoption of ETFs, prediction markets and stablecoins as promising signs for further crypto use cases, including gaming. Breitman also compared crypto’s overcapitalization to the 19th-century railroad boom, citing a lack of standardization, and expressed hope for more technical focus, including wallet infrastructure and serious industry players.
