Bitwise files for spot Solana ETF, citing favorable regulatory shift

Bitwise has filed for a U.S. spot Solana (SOL) ETF, joining VanEck, 21Shares and Canary Capital in seeking to offer U.S. investors exposure to Solana. CEO Hunter Horsley described Solana as a "breakout success" in the crypto market cycle and noted that the recent resignation of U.S. SEC Chair Gary Gensler, along with a potential Trump administration, created a more constructive regulatory environment.
